As a Narehate, Nanachi has undergone a painful transformation due to the Abyss, which granted Nanachi a strange, animalistic appearance.

Appearance

Nanachi’s appearance is a mix of humanoid and animalistic traits. Standing with a slightly hunched posture, Nanachi has large, round ears resembling that of a rabbit or a similar animal, coupled with a fluffy tail. Nanachi’s body is covered in fur, and their eyes are large, with a depth that reflects their profound experiences in the Abyss. Nanachi's appearance, though initially unsettling, carries a sense of wisdom and mystery that mirrors the character's complex personality and history.

Personality

Nanachi is characterised by a calm, collected, and often stoic demeanour. Despite their initial coldness, Nanachi is deeply empathetic, especially when it comes to those who suffer or endure hardship. They act as a guide and mentor to Riko and Reg, providing invaluable knowledge about the Abyss and its dangerous effects. Though there is a quiet sorrow behind their eyes, Nanachi often uses humour or sarcastic remarks to mask their pain, a coping mechanism developed over the years in the Abyss.

The trauma Nanachi experienced due to the Abyss has made them wary of becoming too attached to others, though their loyalty and care for those they consider friends shines through when it matters most.
